Teens’ Open Heavens 20 November 2017 by Pastor Adeboye - The Vision Of Heaven

Topic: The Vision Of Heaven [Monday 20, November 2017]

Memorise: “He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.” – Revelation 21:7

Read: Revelation 21:1-7

1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

Bible In One Year: Acts 18-19. Hymn: Sing Hymn 10 — When The Trumpet Of The Lord Shall Sound

MESSAGE:

There is a popular saying: “What you see is what you get”. The underlying truth in this statement is that you cannot aspire for what has not been introduce into your consciousness. The reason my father never struggle to build a house with bathrooms and toilets was because he never saw a house with toilets and bathroom.

One of the reasons why the early disciples were strongly determined to make it to Heaven was because they had seen a vision of Heaven. This is the reason why Stephen for example, prayed that his executioners’ actions won’t be counted against them. He caught a vision of heaven with Jesus Christ giving him a standing ovation for being a hero of faith (Acts 7:55-56,60).

When a child of God sees a vision of Heaven, he will not need much persuasion to win more souls and live holy. My life never remained the same ever since I started seeing my heavenly home. This is why I cannot be persuaded to slow down in the Kingdom business. What about you?

Prayer Point: Father, open my eyes to see a vision of Heaven today in Jesus’ Name.

Sing Hymn 10: When The Trumpet Of The Lord Shall Sound

1. When the trumpet of the Lord shall sound, and time shall be no more,
And the morning breaks, eternal, bright and fair;
When the saved of earth shall gather over on the other shore,
And the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there.

Chorus:
When the roll is called up yonder,
When the roll is called up yonder,
When the roll is called up yonder,
When the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there.

2. On that bright and cloudless morning when the dead in Christ shall rise,
And the glory of His resurrection share;
When His chosen ones shall gather to their home beyond the skies,
And the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there.
Chorus:

3. Let us labor for the Master from the dawn till setting sun,
Let us talk of all His wondrous love and care;
Then when all of life is over, and our work on earth is done,
And the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there.
Chorus.
