Teens’ Open Heavens 18 November 2017 by Pastor Adeboye - Beware Of False Prophets

Topic: Beware Of False Prophets [Saturday 18, November 2017]

Memorise: “And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.” Mark 13:37

Read: Mark 13:30-37

30 Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done.

31 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.

34 For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.

35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:

36 Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.

37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

Bible In One Year: Acts 14-15. Hymn: Sing Hymn 9 — My Faith Has Found Resting A Place

MESSAGE:

Because some people do not want to hear the truth of the he Word of God, they run from wherever they can hear the truth to places where their atrocities can be allowed and covered. No matter how far you run from the truth, one day, you will have to stand face-to-face with it.

False prophets will never deliver the mind of God to their followers because they are false. Their messages are in various colors and they use numerous ways to manipulate their victims. This is why Jesus Christ has admonished us to be watchful and careful of false prophets who are wolves, but hide in sheep’s clothing. You need to be sensitive in the spirit to know what is in their hearts.

Not all who introduce themselves to you as ministers are genuine ministers. You have to look beyond the titles and how much influence they have. You should check the kind of fruits they bear in their journey of faith before you even begin to listen to them, Jesus said “by their fruits you shall know them”.

Action Point: Father, deliver me from every false prophet in my life in Jesus’ Name.

Sing Hymn 9: My Faith Has Found Resting A Place

My faith has found a resting place,
Not in device or creed;
I trust the ever living One,
His wounds for me shall plead.

Chorus:
I need no other argument,
I need no other plea,
It is enough that Jesus died,
And that He died for me.

Enough for me that Jesus saves,
This ends my fear and doubt;
A sinful soul I come to Him,
He’ll never cast me out.
Chorus:

My heart is leaning on the Word,
The living Word of God,
Salvation by my Savior’s Name,
Salvation through His blood.
Chorus:

My great Physician heals the sick,
The lost He came to save;
For me His precious blood He shed,
For me His life He gave.
Chorus.
