Memorise: "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: ” - Ecclesiastes 3:1

Read: Philippians 4:8-9

8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

Bible In One Year: Matthew 12-13. Hymn: Sing Hymn 4 - Take My Life And Let It Be

MESSAGE:

As we already learnt yesterday, spending time on unfruitful ventures can cause a future filled with sorrow. Now the question is, what are you spending your time on? Our Bible reading for today says whatever is honourable, true, just and of good report is what we should spend our time on. It is very important that as a child of God, you should spend your time on things that glorify God.

When you devout your time to doing the things of God, you can be sure of a glorious future. Beware of the company you keep because bad company corrupts good character. Let the light of God shine through you so that the world will see and glorify your Father in Heaven. May the Lord help you at all times to be a good example in everything that you do in Jesus' Name.

Key Point: What you spend your time doing has eternal consequences. Use your time wisely!

Open Heavens Daily Devotional for Teen’s guide was written by Pastor E.A. Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, one of the largest evangelical church in the world and also the President of Christ the Redeemer's Ministries.
