And it came to pass after many days, that the word of the LORD came to Elijah in the third year, saying, Go, shew thyself unto Ahab; and I will send rain upon the earth. 1 Kings 18:1. Read: 1 Ki 18:41-46

It is one thing to know what to do and another thing to actually do the thing. To be forewarned is to be forarmed. I have said it before in one of the devotions that knowledge is not just power In its own but applied knowledge eventually becomes power. No pregnant woman in labour gives birth without pushing, it’s not possible. Yesterday we saw another way the doctors help a woman who has come to delivery but loses her strength to push to deliver by inducing her. Note that God has glorious plans for our lives but the devil will contend with it, therefore, you must defend your territory. According to a wise man, the acronym’PUSH’ means PRAY UNTIL SOMETHING HAPPENS.

God told prophet Elijah to go show himself to king Ahab after many years of winter that He would send rain down. After the great showdown at Mount Carmel with the prophets of Baal, And Elijah said unto Ahab, Get thee up, eat and drink; for there is a sound of abundance of rain. While king Ahab went to eat and drink, Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and cast himself down upon the earth, and put his face between his knees prayed seven times before the rain finally came down. In spite of the fact God told him He would send rain, he still prayed. You must know that you have a part to play to bring God’s promises to come to past. PUSH UNTIL YOU DELIVER, DON’T GIVE UP.
