Our Daily Manna September 5, 2017: ODM devotional – The Abrahamic University! -2

Topic: The Abrahamic University! -2 [Tuesday 5 September, 2017]

(Romans 4:18-25)

Welcome to this special class in the Abrahamic University. I call the name of this course “Abraham 201” (ABM 201).

Class Lesson 4: Be a man /woman that hates the word “STAGGER”! Romans 4:20 says: “But he did not doubt or waver in unbelief concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong and empowered by faith, giving glory to God” (AMP). The KJV says: “He staggered not at the promise of God.” Staggering is a testimony blocker!! The word “stagger” means to waver. No matter how your life, family and mi nistry has been, determine to hold on and never STAGGER.

Remember, whatever is not of faith is a sin. So each time you doubt, waver, STAGGER or secretly get angry against God, you are living in sin. Charles Spurgeon opined: “To trust God in the light is nothing but to trust Him in the dark – That is faith.”

Class Lesson 5: Be a man or woman of ALTARS! Make it your lifestyle! Being a man or woman of altars means maintaining an aggressive and regular devotion to God in rain or sunshine. See Genesis 12:7: “And the Lord appeared unto Abram, and said, Unto thy seed will I give this land: and there builded he an altar unto the Lord, who appeared unto him.” See also verse 8: “And he removed from thence unto a mountain on the east of Bethel, and pitched his tent, having Bethel on the west, and Ai on the east: and there he builded an altar unto the Lord, and called upon the name of the Lord.”

Also Genesis 13:18: “Then Abram removed his tent, and came and dwelt in the plain of Mamre, which is in Hebron, and built there an altar unto the Lord.” And finally Genesis 26:25: “And he builded an altar there, and called upon the name of the Lord, and pitched his tent there: and there Isaac’s servants digged a well.”

Wow! Building ALTARS everywhere which means having regular and constant PRIVATE fellowship with God was Abraham’s secret and it must become your secret today.
