(Hebrews 3:7-15).
In the popular and award winning book of many generations – “Pilgrim’s Progress,” a book written with the tears of prison, the greatest number of dangers and the harshest battles were experienced closest to the gate of the Celestial City. It was in that region that the doubting CASTLE stood and it was there the seducing ground lured the tired travelers to slumber. What God is telling a user of today’s devotional is: It is when heaven’s breakthrough are in full view that the gates of hell are the most persistent. Yes, just before great miracles, you experience great obstacles. Most of my greatest hours of glory in life and ministry so far, always come just after serious seasons of groaning, disappointments and pain. That has been a regular pattern in my walk with God which I cannot explain. I have never experienced a promotion without serious unbelievable pressure, betrayal and disappointment!
I cannot explain why God uses wounds to make me a man of wisdom. Yes, it is wound that produce wisdom! So, watch and pray because it is just before your breakthrough that the battle is the hottest. At 12 a.m. you don’t greet GOOD NIGHT; you greet GOOD MORNING even though that is the darkest hour of the night. A new day has started though everywhere seems very dark. That’s why Galatians 6:9 is vital ( see it now). Today’s scripture Vs. 15 also screams that you can only partake of Christ ( experience His goodness), if you hold your confidence ( your trust and courage) steadfast till the end.
War Generals say that the greatest challenge in any battle is holding on for the last half hour! Shakespeare often says that much rain wears down the marble through persistence. The last step often the winning step! In this second half of 2017, hold on to the end! Your testimony must show up in Jesus Christ name!
