Topic: He Hold No Record Of Wrong [Saturday, 17th June 2017]

…for God is love. 1 John 4:8

Love is amazing, so also is God. When love is expressed in its purest form by us, it goes a long way to achieve amazing effects in the lives of the recipients. It is easy for someone, who is not expressing love to hold unto past wrongs, even when they say they have forgiven you. They are quick to bring these past wrongs to your remembrance and use them to pass judgment on you every time you offend them. I have personally experienced this several times in my life and I have also done this. But now I know better. But, you see, love expressed in its purest form, does not keep record of wrong done to it.

God has no record of your sins. As long as you have accepted the sacrifice of Jesus for your sins, the blood of Christ cleanses all record of your sins (1 John 1:7). So, when the Lord says He won’t remember your sins anymore in Hebrews 10:17, He is telling you He does not have a record of them, that’s why He won’t and can’t remember them. If He had a record of your sins, believe me, He will remember. But, the blood of Christ did a very good job at cleaning the record of your sins. This is Love in His purest form.

Guess what, even when you do something wrong today or tomorrow, there will still be no record of it. Why, because for your sake, Christ was made sin and God has dealt with the sin of the whole world, both past, present and future, in Christ. There is no record of sin in God’s books. He only has one record book, and that is the book of life, and beloved, your name features prominently in it. Glory to God! Love does not keep record of wrong done it. God also does not keep record of wrong – sin – done to Him. Be like God.

Keep winning daily.

Prayer:

Dear Lord God, thank You for not keeping records of my sins. Thank You for the blood of Christ which cleaned all record of my sins. Help me, by the working of Your Spirit, to be like You, in this regard, in my relationship with people. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
