Topic: Don’t Fear Rejection [Monday, 27th Feb. 2017]

This Moses whom they refused, saying, Who made thee a ruler and a judge? the same did God send to be a ruler and a deliverer by the hand of the angel which appeared to him in the bush. Acts 7:35

It came to my understanding that most times God’s choice is not always man’s choice. Men will always place their decisions on outward appearance and past expirence. But God, Who is all-knowing, seeing beyond our imaginations and our views, always comes up with the right choice, although it might not sit down well with men.

Just like Jesus, Who was ordained by God to be the Saviour of the world, was rejected by same men whom he was sent to save, so also, we who the Lord have sent to the world would be rejected by the same world. In our lead text, we see Moses, who was ordained by God to liberate Israel from the suffering of Egypt, was rejected by the Israelites, questioning his mission to them.

But the good news is this, Christ has told us in the scriptures about this rejections. In Matthew 21:42, “Jesus saith unto them, did ye never read in the scriptures, the stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes.” This rejection might come in varied forms. In your work, school, business or career. But never be overwhelmed be rejection. The thing is, you are the saviour in your sphere of influence and they will still turn to you. You are the chief of the corner stone.

Keep winning daily.

Wise Action:

Whenever you are faced with rejection, count it all joy. 1 Peter  2:19 says, “for this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully.”
