Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible. 1 Peter 3:3-4. Read: Matt 15:18-19

According to Merriam Webster Dictionary, Modesty is the quality of behaving and especially dressing in ways that do not attract sexual attention. Which means, Modesty is the outward manifestation of the inward purity. Immodest behaviours or dressing today emanate from impure and a defiled heart. According to our Lord Jesus Christ in our Bible reading, the matter of the heart is the heart of the matter, i.e, every outward manifestation of human beings first took place within the heart before it is or was acted upon outwardly. An unclean spirit is responsible for immodest dressing today called fashion, if you allow yourself to be controlled by this spirit and be misled, like the wine, the Bible says you are a fool and the fool say, there is no God. Pro 20:1, Ps 14:1

If actually you are a bona-fide child of God, you won’t wait to be told before you dress modestly or moderately, the Holy Spirit inside of you would have informed you whether what you put on is good or not. Because, genuine Salvation is inside transformation that results in modest manifestation outward.
