For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. Romans 12:3
Even as we offer our bodies as sacrifices to God in service to His kingdom, we must understand one thing: every one of our services is equal before God. There is none that is higher than the other, no matter how we look at it. That's why scriptures say, we should not think of ourselves more highly than we ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to every man a measure of faith. Don't give yourself more importance than you give the other person because you feel the other person has a lesser gift than yours.
Most people think like this, but we must understand that God does not see it like that. He treats us all with equal importance. This is because "just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others" (Romans 12:4-5). We cannot complete the work of our Saviour independently. We are all interdependent on one another.
Whether you are a prophet, a preacher, an apostle, a teacher, a giver, an administrator, a pastor, an apostle, etc, we all need each other to keep winning and growing as one. As scriptures put it in 1 Corinthians 12:20-21 "as it is, there are many parts, but one body. The eye cannot say to the hand, 'I don’t need you!' And the head cannot say to the feet, 'I don’t need you!". So esteem one another. You are not more important to God than the other person. We are all equally important to God.
Keep winning daily.
Dear God, thank You for making me important to You and Your kingdom. Help me to see all my co-labourers just as important to You as I am. Help me to esteem them always, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
