A New Wine for a New Bottle (2) by Pastor Faith Oyedepo

Dear Reader,

It is another wonderful day to bring God’s Word your way. In today’s teaching, I shall be exploring the topic: “God’s Move For the End-Time.”

With all the moves we have enjoyed in time past, and all the channels, and the vessels that have been used of God, we have a duty of ensuring that we don’t remain as old bottles but rather, get transformed to the level of new ones.

God is the One getting the wine ready. He is the Producer of the wine and the One making the anointing available. God is the One Who will bring about that new move for this end-time. That is why Luke 5:38, says: whether you and I like it or not, God is getting the new wine ready. The task now is: God is searching for new bottles in which to put the new wine. May you be one of them!

The new wine has been prepared; it is ready. God is set to move. God is determined to do a new thing. We are at the verge of a breakthrough. This move cannot be stopped by anyone, government system or economy situation, because God has made up His mind already.

God is determined and He is getting everything ready; all that He is searching for all across the world are bottles. God isn’t looking for old bottles anymore; He is looking out for men and women, who will refuse to remain as old bottles; but are rather ready to become new ones in His hand.

No wonder, the Bible says in 2 Timothy 2:20:  But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.  If you look at this passage very clearly, you will discover that there are four different types of vessels mentioned.

What Type Of Vessel Are You In The Hands Of God?

In a relay race, you have four sets of people, who will take different legs in the race. You will discover that in the natural, the fastest runner is placed at the last leg of the race; isn’t it? In the same way, when we look at the four categories of vessels mentioned in that passage of Scripture, we would discover that it is in accordance with their levels of honour. For instance, the vessel of gold comes first, followed by the vessels of silver and so on.

The church of Jesus Christ has enjoyed the move of God in those three levels. We have seen different vessels –vessels of wood, vessels of earth and vessels of silver. But God is determined right now, to bring back the gold to the temple. God has made up His mind to lookout for only vessels of gold. God is determined to make use and to lay hands on as many people who will say to God: “I am not satisfied with being just a vessel of silver.” “I don’t just want to be a vessel of wood.” “I am not satisfied with being a vessel of earth; I want to become a vessel of gold unto honour.”  That shall be you!

What Determines The Difference In Vessels?

In 2 Timothy 2:20, the Bible tells us that some of those vessels are unto honour and some are unto dishonour. It is the quality of the vessels that determines whether it will be a vessel unto honour or not. It is you and I who are the determining factor of what kind of vessels we are going to be. That is why in the same passage, 2 Timothy 2:21, the Bible says: If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.  I don’t know you or what your life looks like; and I don’t know what you have made up your mind to be or do, to be a part of this end-time. But God’s Word has made it clear that God has begun to distinguish between the goats and the sheep in His fold (Matthew 25:32).

We are all in a great house –the house of God. We are all children of God; yes! We are all born again; yes! We are all getting ready to go to heaven; yes! We are all waiting for the second coming of the Master; yes! But what type of vessel are you in the hands of God? Are you satisfied with remaining as an old bottle? Or are you ready to allow God to do His work in your life? If your answer is “yes,” then you must cease to be an old bottle and become a new one in God’s hands.

The Bible says that new wine must be put into new bottles. There is no doubt about it, God is determined to do it, but what kind of bottle are you going to be in the hands of God? What kind of bottle have you made up your mind to be in the hands of the Master? His new wine cannot be put into old bottles. Therefore, what can you and I do to become new bottles?

The first step to being a new bottle and to be a part of God’s new move for this end-time is to be connected to God. You get connected to God by confessing your sins and accepting Jesus as your Saviour and Lord. That is what being born again is all about. If you are ready for this, please say this prayer: Dear Lord Jesus Christ, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me of my sins and cleanse me with Your Blood. Deliver me from sin and satan to serve the living God. I accept You as my Lord and Saviour. Make me a child of God today. Thank You for accepting me into Your Kingdom.

If you prayed this simple prayer, you are now a child of God. He loves you and will never leave you. Read your Bible daily, obey God’s Word and seek Christian fellowship (John 14:21).
