But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:57
The victory that Jesus Christ won over Satan was never for Himself. The fight He fought was never for Himself. The suffering was never for Himself. Jesus never fought with Himself in mind. The victory was for you and I. Jesus never lost His dominion. He never lost His place asy God. He never was a slave to Satan and sin. He never was under the influence of satan. Man was.
Man sinned and lost all that God gave him. But the Word - God - was made flesh - man so that He could pay the price of sin once and for all times. On the cross, Jesus, full of the sins of the world, was offered up as the full payment of sin - He died - so He could go to hell to defeat satan, winning the victory for you and I. He restored, with the victory, all that Satan had taken from man. He did all for you.l and I. He only had us in mind. Not for one second did He stop thinking about you.
Jesus is already God, but He won the victory to make us ugods. He is free, but he did it to make us free. He never lost His life, but He did it to give us His life. He is eternity, but He did it to make us eternal. He is the Head of all principalities and powers, but He did it to make us the Head. The victory is solely for us. So thanks be to God, Who has given us the victory through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Keep winning daily.
Dear loving Father, thank You for the victory You've won for me through Christ. I rejoice and live in the victory always. I am a god. I am free. I have You eternal life. I am the head. I live in the light always, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
