And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel. Hebrews 12:24
The blood of Jesus, to the Christian, is very precious and important. Apart from it granting us access to the throne of Grace, the blood serves as a spokesman for us. The first man’s – Abel’s – blood that was spilled cried out to God, and when it did, God pronounced judgement on the murderer; Cain. Scriptures say in Genesis 4:11 – “and now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother’s blood from thy hand.”
But today, the blood of Jesus is not calling out for judgement. It is not calling out to God for it to be avenged. It’s not calling out for curses upon you. But the blood of Jesus speaks mercy. It speaks retrain. It speaks blessings. The blood of Jesus call out life. It calls out healing. It calls out protection. And it calls out victory. Scriptures say “we overcame by the blood of the lamb…” (Revelations 12:11). The blood of the Lamb is the payment for the sins of the whole world (1 John 2:2).
The blood of Jesus is still speaking and will continue to speak for us. It speaks better things than the blood of Abel. It doesn’t matter what other blood is speaking against you, the blood of Jesus overrules it. No matter the curse, judgement and death that other blood might be speaking against you, the blood of Jesus is speaking life, blessings and mercy for you and it will continue to speak these for you until you are united physically with your Lord.

Dear Lord Jesus, thank You for Your blood that speaks better things for me. Your blood speaks life, blessings and mercies. I live in the light of all Your blood is speaking for me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
