For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6. Read: Luke 2:10-14
The birth of Jesus Christ is the greatest good news the world ever heard and received. It is the fulfillment of God’s love towards humanity. It was a demonstration of the Godhead concern for His creatures. The birth of Jesus Christ brought life and light to lighten up the darkest places on earth. It was God’s visitation and coming to dwell with His handiwork. His birth came to restore man back to his Creator and to reestablish the fellowship that was lost in the Garden of Eden. Gen 3. Jesus birth was geared toward the joy of humanity and peace and good will toward men on earth.
There are good news, but the news about Jesus birth supersedes all of them. Before His birth, prophet Isaiah had given many clues about His coming and many other old time prophets. In Isaiah 7:14, he said His name shall be called Immanuel which means, “God with us” and the angel in Matt 1:21 called Him “JESUS” for He shall save His people from their sins. Isaiah went further to narrate His names; Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. And this is He who has called you and I out of darkness into His marvelous light of life. Celebrate Jesus the reason for this season. Hallelujah!!!
