A Promise For You From Bible Promises:

Topic: From Inordinate Pleasure to Poverty [09/12/2016]

He that loveth pleasure shall be a poor man: he that loveth wine and oil shall not be rich. Proverbs 21:17. Read: Pro 23:20-21

Someone said the recession that has befall our nation has helped some people to reduce their spending. It’s has helped some to become a by force manager. They no longer live above their income but within and below their income. Before the recession, many has actually lived another man’s life, a lifestyle that was not their own. They borrowed to party, some borrowed to club because they believed that, tomorrow will always be like today. They forgot that there is always a time of famine and need to be prepared for (just as it happened in Egypt in Joseph time). Come ye, say they, I will fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and to morrow shall be as this day, and much more abundant.Isaiah 56:12. My friend, inordinate pleasure will certainly lead you to abject poverty putting your family in pain. Stop it. Many has lost their jobs to this recession. Learn how to manage the one you have and learn how to save too no matter how little you earn for the rainy day.

Today, the saying, “Cut your clothes according to your size” has been refined by this ongoing recession that would end soon to “Cut your clothes according to your cloth”. Don’t wait for recession before you learn how to save and control your pleasure life. Meanwhile, God is pleasure, if you are a lover of pleasure, come to Jesus and you will enjoy everlasting pleasure. Ps 16:11, Rev 4:11.
