Dunamis’ daily devotional December 26, 2016 by Pastor Paul Enenche - Fighting and Winning the Fight of Faith

Topic: Fighting and Winning the Fight of Faith [December 26, 2016]

Scripture: Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. 1 Timothy 6:12

Thought For The Day: When your Word comes, your war ends.

It is very clear that every child of God engages in one form of fight or the other in the journey of faith. Whether you are interested or not, the fight is on.

2 Corinthians 10:3-6 says, For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: So there is war.

We are in a fight because we were made in the image of God. So, satan being the enemy of the Kingdom of God is also your enemy. It is the nature of the devil to cause havoc. He hates tranquillity. But we are more than conquerors (Romans 8:37).

The fight of faith is an attack on your belief in God. It is also the battle between the lie of the devil and the promises of God to you.

Beloved, one major weapon in fighting the enemy is the revelation of the Word of God (John 1:5). When Joseph’s Word came, his imprisonment ended (Psalm 105:19-22). Nothing disarms darkness like light. You need to be loaded with the Word of God before the battle arrives. Light is the answer to reproach, shame and disgrace. When your Word comes, your war ends.

Remember this: When your Word comes, your war ends.

1. Engage in the search for scriptural light from the Bible on a daily basis.
2. Do not relent in the fight against the enemy.

Prayer: In the Name of Jesus, I am winning the fight against the devil. O LORD, I believe in Your Word and I know that I am victorious in Jesus’ Name.

Quote: Anyone who does not take the Bible serious can never operate with faith. Such a person negotiates everything with God. Culled from 15 KINGDOM STRATEGIES FOR SURVIVAL by Dr. Paul Enenche

Daily Reading: Zechariah 9:1 to 17, Revelation 17:1 to 18, Psalm 145:1 to 21, Proverbs 30:32

Today In History: December 26th – Boxing Day in the United Kingdom and many other countries, a day of gift giving when boxes of food, clothing and other gifts are traditionally given to employees, tradespeople and other service providers.

Amazing Fact: The heart can keep beating even after being removed from rest of the body due to its electrical impulse, so long as it receives oxygen.
