Dunamis’ daily devotional December 17, 2016 by Pastor Paul Enenche - The Enemies of Faith

Topic: The Enemies of Faith [December 17, 2016]

Scripture: ‘Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.’ Jude 3

Thought For The Day: If you have not seen what God has done, you cannot see what He will do.

It is clear that faith is central to the Christian adventure. A Christian without faith is more like a disaster waiting to happen.

It is important to guard your faith because the devil knows that your faith equals your life; for the just shall live by his faith (Habakkuk 2:4)

Therefore, it is important to identify the enemies of faith in order to protect the potency of your faith.

1. Evil report: Guard your heart diligently to ward off bad news.

2. An empty spirit: When the spirit of man is bankrupt of the Word of God, the enemy begins to afflict them.

3. An unclear conscience: Whatever fights your conscience fights your confidence (Proverbs 28:1). So, faith is ruined when the heart is impure.

4. Ingratitude: Ingratitude kills faith. If you have not seen what God has done, you cannot see what He will do.

5. Impatience: Inability to wait on God ruins faith (Hebrews 6:12).

Beloved, beware of the people you listen to because whatever accesses your heart affects your faith.

I decree that you will escape the evils of this world and live to fulfil your destiny in Jesus’ Name.

Remember this: If you have not seen what God has done, you cannot see what He will do.

1. Guard your heart diligently. Believe only the report of the LORD – the Word of God.

2. Consciously increase your intake of the Word of God.

Prayer: O LORD, I believe only in Your report. I appreciate You for the things that You have done for me and for the bright future You have in store for me. Thank You LORD, in Jesus’ Name.
