Topic: Build Allies [Saturday, 19th Nov. 2016.]

And if one prevails against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken. Ecclesiastes 4:12

In all spheres of human interactions, man was never created to live in isolation. We are a natural when it comes to communal living, but we are in a time and age when people emphasize on what divides us more than what unites us. But you see, no matter how gifted, rich and self-sustained we are, we can never live in isolation. We all need each other to survive. You need someone to survive in life issues; in business, career, job, family and otherwise. This is why we are to build allies. Two heads always do better than one (Ecclesiastes 4:9).

Building allies is something we must all do. No matter how strong you are, you will be stronger with allies. One will chase a thousand, but two will put ten thousand to flight (Deuteronomy 32:30). You can build business allies. You must not do that business alone. You can do with the ideas, resources, skills, expertise of some few more people. The truth is, there is a higher rate of survival for a joint partnership than for a sole administrator. We have seen cases of rival brands coming together to be one; and it will be okay to see supposed rival start-ups forming alliances also. The risk of the business will be jointly shared, as well as the profit.

Today we are talking about a global world, where countries are seeking to align together for shared goals. Bilateral agreements are signed between allies for mutual benefits. We can do this on an individual basis. It will aid our development individually and collectively. We will achieve more with an ally. Think about this: will it not be better to be warm than to be cold? With an ally, you are always warm in cold weather (Ecclesiastes 4:11).

Keep winning daily.

Wise Action:

Take conscious steps to build alliances, especially in this period of financial downturn. It will help your business and other aspects of your life stay afloat.
