It’s human to seek quick solution whenever they find themselves in one challenge or the other. There’s no one facing challenges that would want to die in it but look to the end of such challenging issue. Seeking solution to one’s challenges is not bad in itself, it only becomes bad when such solution is sought in a wrong way and in a wrong place. We must understand that man is just a channel by which God helps us, but God is the source of all help. Therefore, leaning on man for help in time of trouble can be dangerous because God said, “Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD”. Jer 17:5. Please note that, no matter how wealthy the person you seek help from is, if God is not involved, such help might be futile.
When a great famine struck the land, Isaac planned to move to Egypt to seek respite for his family. He believed Egypt could solve his problem at that particular point in time, but God that knows more than humans told him to sow in the land in the midst of the famine, God blessed him. And the land began to envy him. On the other hand, Abimeleck (Naomi’s husband and children) tried to escape from famine, they met their waterloo. Beloved, all that glitters is not gold. Lot lost all. Let God lead you to that particular thing to avoid frustration – even death.
