Topic: Beautify The World [Friday, 14 Oct. 2016]

You are the world’s light—a city on a hill, glowing in the night for all to see. (Matthew 5:14)

Viewing some videos of the aerial view of cities like New York, Beijing and Paris when it is dark reveals the aesthetic quality of light. It is always beautiful, especially at the city centres. The Eiffel Tower in Paris is a beauty to behold at night because of the colourful lights used to decorate it. This shows us – the light of the world – what we are suppose to do in this dark and perverse world. We are here to beautify the world. God intentionally left us in the world, because without us there is no beauty in it. The world is ugly without us.

Scriptures say about us in Isaiah 4:2 that “in that day shall the branch of the LORD be beautiful and glorious…” We are in the days Prophet Isaiah was talking about. We are not abdicating our position. We are taking a stand just like Jesus, to be the beauty the world desperately needs. Jesus said “as long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” We must also say like Jesus, “as long as I am in the world, I am the beauty of the world.”

Beloved, we must not let our light be covered. We must illuminate and beautify the room where we are (Matthew 5:15). Anywhere you are right now is ‘your room’. Illuminate and beautify it with the glorious light of the gospel. Don’t allow darkness take over ‘your room.’ Shine your light and darkness will never comprehend the beauty of your light. Take a stand to beautify your own corner of the world today with your glorious light – the gospel.

Keep winning daily.

Prayer:
I am the beauty of the world. I shine forth my glorious light in this dark world to illuminate it. As long as I am in the world, I am the beauty of the world. I beautiful my corner of the world with glorious light of the gospel and kings shall rise and come to the brightness of my rising, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
