Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. 2 Corinthians 5:20. Read: 2 Cor 5:17-21
According to Merriam-Webster dictionary, an ambassador is the highest-ranking person who represents his or her own government while living in another country. He or she does not try to turn the country he is assigned to, to his/her country and abandon his/her motherland that assigned him ambassador.
The above Scripture says Christians are ambassadors of heaven to the earth which means (according to the dictionary definition), we’re a person of highest-rank to the earth. It’s unethical for an ambassador to turn another country to his/her country.
One of the foolishness of humanity (including some Christians) is that, they’ve forgotten their home country that assigned them a representative to the earth. Christians are salt of the earth and are to prepare the earth for the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but what are we doing? We get corrupt by the world practices and forget our assignment. We build beautiful mansions (prepared for fire) and forfeit heavenly mansion Jesus has gone to prepare for us.
