Topic: Keep Pressing [18/9/2016]
Text: Philippians 3:13-14
Bishop T. D. Jakes once said: “I have never seen anyone who keeps moving through a mist and not get to the other side.” This is a resounding quote from this astute man of God. And it captures the kind of mentality we should always adopt in our dealings with life issues. We must keep pressing toward our set targets no matter the debilitating forces that come up against us. There is always light at the end of the tunnel.
Apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 16:9 (AMP) “for a wide door of opportunity for effectual [service] has opened to me [there, a great and promising one], and [there are] many adversaries.” God has opened to us a door of effectual, but the adversaries, led by Satan would not want us to go through it.
But listen, precious One, don’t turn your back on your purpose and goals because of adversaries. Keep moving in the direction of the door, because the challenges are just mist and darkness. Your light will shine through. Keep your eyes on the prize and keep pressing towards it.
Know this, Satan is allowed to pose an opposing force against you, but that’s all he can do. Remember, all he is doing is aiding you to get to your target (Romans 8:26). Don’t give up on your dream because of Satan’s opposition. He is just like a roaring lion but cannot harm or stop you. Don’t allow him discourage you. Keep pressing and when he sees that you are relentless, he will make way for you. Keep pressing.

Prayer:
I press towards the mark of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. I am focused on the Spirit’s inspired dreams and targets, which I have set. A door of effectual service is open for me and I access it despite the many adversaries, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
