Topic: Reflect God’s Nature [5/8/2016]

Text: 2 Corinthians 5:21

There are lots of things that are inherent in God’s nature. God is righteous, loving, merciful, powerful, kind, joyful and lot more. The reality of our lives must reflect the nature of God. Anything short of that, puts our spiritual paternity in doubt. The branches in a tree have their lives in the vine and produces as the vine gives them saps. It is the sap that the branches receive from the vine that reflects as the leaves and fruits that grow on them.

Jesus is the vine and we are the branches (John 15:5). If we say we draw our sap from Him, then we have to reflect it in our outward actions and dispositions. Inherent in us is righteousness, love, kindness, faithfulness, mercy, compassion, wonder working power, and all these are part of God’s nature. We not only have them in us, we also have the ability to reflect these outwardly at all times.

Let us reflect the God nature in us. Let the world see God in us and our actions. Our actions are epistles read by the world and through our actions, we can show them that the “divine life” can be lived. Matthew 5:16 says: “let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” That is, reflect the light-nature of God to the world through your works (actions). You have the nature of God. Show it to the world.

Keep winning daily.

Prayer:
I am a partaker of the divine nature of God. I reflect God’s righteousness, faithfulness, love, kindness, mercy, and all that are inherent in God. The world sees God through me always and they share in the life I have, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
