Text: James 2:14-16
It is easy to profess our faith and tell the world about it. I could easily say "I am a Christian" to anyone, but what really stands the test of time are my actions based on my faith. What people really see are your actions and that is what God is looking out for also. God wants what has happened in your inside to reflect on the outside.
Unproductive faith is proven by the lack of corresponding action. Nobody will take you seriously when your actions contradict your words. James 2:15-16 "If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, and one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?" To convince the world that what we are offering them is the best they could ever have, our actions must speak louder than our words.
This current dispensation requires more than our words for soul-winning. We have to go beyond words and show them with our actions. We must reflect the character and qualities of God to them. Evangelism must be done with every fibre of our being. Words alone are not enough. Add action.
Keep winning daily.
Dear Lord, thank You for giving me the character of the Spirit to exhibit You in and to the world. I not only talk about my Your life but live Your life, reflecting You in the world through my actions. The world sees the benefits of Your indwelling life through my actions, in Jesus' name. Amen.
