By little and little I will drive them out from before thee, until thou be increased, and inherit the land. Read: Exd 23:27-30
God is the custodian of signs and wonders, the power to perform miracles and gain victory over an avowed enemy resides with God Almighty. Because of His Sovereignty, He can decide how He brings about His miracles. Ps 105:3. God’s intervention in the affairs of human life could either be instantaneous or gradual, whichever way it takes, God does unfathomable wonders.
In the case of the blind man at Bethsaida, after Jesus has spat on his eyes, Jesus asked him, what do you see? The man replied, I see men as trees, walking. And finally, he began to see clearly. Mk 8:22-26. Most times when God does something speedily for His children, they either take it for granted, blame or refuse to appreciate Him, so purposely, He would prefer step by step miracle. God in the above scripture told the children of Israel He would have to drive away the giants in the land He promised them little by little, lest, it becomes desolate and harbour beast. God drove away the giants for Israel to inherit their promise land. He has not forgotten you, yours might be step by step and you will surely testify if you hold on to Him.
