Topic: Get Understanding [26/7/2016]

Text: Proverbs 4:7

Understanding is very essential to us as God’s sons and daughters. In Isaiah 11:2, scriptures introduce us to seven different operations of God’s Spirit. One of those operations is the spirit of understanding. Emphasizing it’s importance to us, Apostle Paul, praying for us in Ephesians 1:18 said: “the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints.” And the preacher also says in Proverbs 4:7: “…and with all thy getting, he understanding.”

No wonder Moses had a closer walk with God than all the children of Israel because, he not only knew God, He had a good understanding of God and His ways. Scriptures says in Psalms 103:7: “He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.” Moses, during his time, knew how God operated and why God did the things He did. The Children of Israel only knew the acts. Understanding was just the difference. Understanding is one of the differences between failure and success.

A lack of understanding has caused the failure of many. We need understanding to succeed in all we are involved in. We need to understand God and His ways. We need to know who we are in Christ and also to understand how we are to operate or act. With understanding you are sure of a pleasant ending or result in all you do. We need understanding in full operation in our lives, that is why the Lord gave us His Spirit, to make us of quick understanding (Isaiah 11:3). Activate the spirit of understanding in your life. You not only know all things but you understand all things. Hallelujah!!!

Keep winning daily.

Prayer:
I have the spirit of understanding. There is nothing beyond my scope of comprehension. The Spirit of God in me opens the eyes of my understanding always, bringing me to the awareness of who I am and how to operate always, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
