The Pan Yoruba socio cultural group, Afenifere, has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to reopen investigation into the murder of Moshood and Kudirat Abiola.
Afenifere was reacting to Buhari's recent decision to probe the murder of ex AGF Chief Bola Ige.
“We welcome the development as we need to bring closure to these dastardly killings. But the same probe must be extended to the death of MKO Abiola, Kudirat Abiola and other unresolved murders," Afenifere National Publicity Secretary, Mr Yinka Odumakin, said.
"We must get justice for all the high profile murders," he said according to Vanguard.
Moshood Abiola died under suspicious circumstances in July 1998 following the death of Gen. Sani Abacha. His wife, Kudirat, was assassinated a month earlier while he was incarcerated.
