Topic: Personal Knowledge Of Him Pays
And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits. Daniel 11:32. Read: Acts 19:11-16
Christianity is not just a mere religion, neither is it an ordinary lifestyle, but a way of life patterned after our Lord Jesus Christ. Though there're other religions on earth, but Christianity proves to be true and stands out because of her truism, light and peace. Christianity is a joyful and a powerful religion, but to experience her power, joy, peace and light calls for personal knowledge of God Almighty through Jesus. Being born into a Christian home, attending all Church activities, paying your Tithes and offerings correctly; sleeping in the Church, being a worker, minister - even occupying the five offices doesn't make you a child of God, but your personal encounter with Jesus makes you His child. The above mentioned are good, but are no substitute for new birth. Confessing Jesus as your Lord and Saviour secures you heaven.
The life story recorded in the book of Acts of the apostles 19 tells us how imperative personal knowledge of Him helps. Paul had a personal encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus, now a bona-fide child of God. Paul's name became a terror to the kingdom of darkness. When the seven sons of Sceva (a Jew, and chief of the priests) saw what happened, they went to meet a man with evil spirit. The evil spirit inside the man said to them, Jesus I know, Paul I know; but who are ye? They were beaten naked. Have you had an encounter with Jesus personally? If no, He awaits you at the door of your heart now, don't keep Him waiting. Open for Him.
* May your name be a terror to the kingdom of darkness in Jesus Name
