A Promise For You From Bible Promises: [15/07/2016]

Topic: A Time to Stand

Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Ephesians 6:13. Read: Eph 6:10-14

Resting on one’s laurels is a shortcoming of most people, they depend on their past success forgetting to improve oneself further. It’s a normal phenomenon for humans to celebrate after a major breakthrough immediately. The wise know that, it’s after a major breakthrough which usher in celebration that the devil strikes because he (devil) knows, it’s rare to be guided in celebration time. Many have lost their victory in the celebration time and began to ask. I thought God had already done it, why is it not forthcoming?

The time to stand is the time one has just had a breakthrough or won a great victory. After God has given David the throne of his master (Saul) and rest, David relaxed. In the time he was supposed to go to war, he sent his warriors to the battle field and he himself stayed back. He slept spiritually, and the enemy got him down. 2 Sam 11. Don’t rest on your oars because there’s always a better place for you to be than where you are now. Ephesians says, after you’ve fought all principalities and powers, the rulers of the darkness of this world, Stand. Stand here means, watch. The reason is because, those principalities and powers never get tired, they don’t give in or up until one goes to the grave. It’s not time to rest or sleep, it’s time to stand and watch against any possible invasion from the enemy.

* The enemy will not turn your victory into sorrow in Jesus Name. #EnjoyYourWeekend
