Topic: The New Order [13/6/2016]
Text: 2 Corinthians 5:17

The advent of Jesus Christ changed alot of things in human history, but it’s most important change is the relationship between God and man. Jesus brought a new order and mode of relationship between God and man. In the old order, man was lost cut off from God. But in the new order we have been brought back to the bishop of our soul. Scripture says: “for ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls” (1 Peter 2:25). But the most intriguing part of the new order is God living in our bodies.

The ark of the covenant, which signifies the presence of God, was God’s means to live with men in the old order. God has always wanted to be close to and interact with man. But He could not live in the bodies of men in the old order because man was cut off from His life. But God’s ultimate aim was to live in the same place with man’s spirit so He could have a constant and unbroken fellowship with man, so He could carry out His will through us. The new order presented God with the perfect opportunity to do that, because through our faith in Jesus we received the life of God and our bodies were cleansed to be a holy habitation of God’s Spirit.

In the new order, because God is now residing in man, He has full access to perpetuate His will and rule through us on the Earth. Our bodies are now God’s temple (1 Corinthians 3:16), where the fellowship of the Spirit takes place (Philippians 2:1). The new order is Emmanuel, God with us, and He is never going to leave us, because Jesus said: “and I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you FOR EVER” (John 14:16). Hallelujah!!!

Keep winning daily.

Prayer:
Dear loving Father, thank You for the new order of fellowship You have established with me. Thank You for the unbroken communion between Your Spirit and me. Thank You for coming to be with me forever. Perpetuate Your will on Earth through my body to the glory of Your name, in Jesus name. Amen.
