Topic: Don’t Waste Resources [11/6/2016]
Text: Luke 13:6-8

God, with all the resources He has endowed us with, is expecting us to be productive. God’s thoughts towards any of His sons that is unproductive is expressed in Luke 13:6-8. The tree in that parable was planted in a soil that was fertile and it enjoyed fertilizer treatment that it needed. That is, everything the tree needed to produce fruits was available to it.

In relating this to us, all we need to be productive is available to us. But, when God comes to check for fruits on our tree, will He find fruits? God told the vine dresser, cut down this tree, why waste precious resources on it? Why waste space, time, energy and materials on it. It is just growing, but we are not seeing the product of its growth. “Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?” (Luke 13:7)

Are you wasting God’s resources? Are you productive where God has planted you? The truth is, if you are not productive, God will withdraw His resources. Withdrawal of His resources might be in the form of not taking you higher or promoting you, because there is no need of the blessings if it is not going to benefit our Kingdom. Be productive, don’t waste the resources God has given to you.

Keep winning daily.

Prayer:
Dear Lord, thank You for making available to me all the resources that I need to be productive for You. I make a commitment to put these resources to use, so that when You come to my tree, You will find fruits. This I will do, in Jesus name. Amen.
