Topic: Divinely Secured [6/06/2016]
Text: Colossians 3:3

Scripture makes us to understand in 1 Peter 2:9, that we are a special people of God, set apart to display the virtues and perfection of God. For this singular reason, God has made sure of our safety, so we can fulfill His purpose. No harm is permitted to come to us because we are divinely secured by God. Deuteronomy 33:12 says: “and of Benjamin he said, the beloved of the LORD shall dwell in safety by him; and the Lord shall cover him all the day long, and he shall dwell between his shoulders.”

The above scripture assures us of our safety and security because we are the beloved of the Lord. It says that the Lord shall cover us all the day long, and it’s not just for one day, but for all the days of our lives. He has given His angels charge over us, to keep us in all our ways (Psalm 91:11). We can’t be afraid of anything, not even death because we are divinely secured; angels are on guard over our lives.

The story of John the beloved comes to mind here. As long as he was not through fulfilling God’s purpose here on Earth, no harm was permitted to touch him. Despite all that was done to him, he just refused to die because He still had more works to do for God here on Earth. As long as we are still walking and working in God’s purpose, no harm is permitted to come to us. We can’t die. Our security is assured everyday. Rejoice about this truth, because you are hid in Christ with God (Colossians 3:3).

Keep winning daily.

Prayer:
Dear Father, thank You for ensuring my safety and security always. I am glad that You count me worthy of safety as I walk and work in Your purpose and plan outlined for me. Be praised Father, in Jesus name. Amen.
