A Promise For You From Bible Promises: [27/06/16]

Topic: Importance of His Presence Pt Two

And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach, Mark 3:14. Read: John 15:1-5

One of the major purpose  of Jesus choosing His disciples was not to jump on the street or in the cathedral with excitement to preach the good news, but to first be with Him, learn at his feet and be filled with His presence. Jesus Himself knows that the preaching of gospel requires power which can only be gotten from tarrying in God’s presence, He was led by the Spirit into the wilderness for forty days and forty nights. Paul said in 1 Corinthians  4:20 “For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power”. Preaching is not talk talk, but all about demonstrating the power that comes from God’s presence.

The presence of God with you cast away fear, it makes you bold like a lion. Pro 28:1. Not only does His presence make you fearless and bold, it also strengthens you in all challenges of life. How much time  you spend in His presence determines how much of Him you have in you.

When you always spend quality time in His presence, it will be obvious to men around you because you must have been formed into the image of His dear Son – Jesus. This is exactly the apostles experience in Acts 4:13, “And they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus”.

* Father, grace to tarry in your presence until I am empower release upon me in Jesus Name
