The former Deputy Speaker of House of Representatives has learnt his voice to the allegation by the Caretaker Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party that the All Progresses Congress (APC) is fueling the crisis in the PDP.

Rt. Hon. Austin Okpara stated this when a group of PDP youths, known as Rebisi nu Obio/Akpor PDP Support Group paid him a solidarity visit at his home at GRA. Rebisi, Port Harcourt.

The former Deputy Speaker who lamented over what he called “external intervention” in the party, said “information available to us is that Sheriff is meeting some of the leadership of the APC. “See what is happening in our state for instance. It is not by accident. It is planned and executed by the APC so that they can destabilize His Excellency’s administration. Unfortunately for them, His Excellency is ready for anyone that is why we have decided to set an example with Ojukaye Amachree. By time we send him and others to jail, APC will know that His Excellency is not joking.”

He advised the group to remain committed to the party. “I enjoin your group to remain focused and support His Excellency.”
