Team work and Determination came through on the Legacy pitch of the National Stadium Surulere, when Rockford Junior College, Ikorodu defeated rival team Jibowu Junior Secondary school 7-0 at the Lagos grassroots finals of the ongoing Copa Coca-Cola U-15 tournament.

The Rockford boys put up a good show of oneness as they connected seamlessly on the pitch of play, dominating the game with good ball possessions all through the game.

A goal from Abdullahi Azeez, five minutes into the game gave the Rockford boys an early lead, finishing up with 4 goals to nothing in just the first half of the match.

Shattered by the goals, the Jibowu boys managed to put up a good fight but with a weak defense that left the goal keeper vulnerable, it was only a matter of time for Rockford to tip in an extra three goals.

With the grassroots finals over, 32 schools will now proceed to the regional stage where they will be grouped into 8 regions; West, Middle Belt, South, East, South East, North West, North and North Central.  Thereafter, winners from each of the regions will go ahead to slug it out at the National finals in Lagos.
