Topic: Pay Close Attention to The Word [24/5/2016]
Text: 2 Peter 1:19 (TLB)

As beloved sons of God, it is very important we pay keen attention to the Words of our Father. Our Father cherishes His Word, and that is why He exalted His Word above all His names. But one thing He wants us to note is that, His Glory is in His Word. 2 Corinthians 3:18 says “and all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit.”

Our Father wants us to be a carriers of His Glory. He wants us to be full of and have a rich deposit of His Glory. That everywhere we go, we can not just but exude His Glory. That is why He said we should be rich in His Word (Colossians 3:16) so that we can be rich in and full of His Glory. When we do this, we can only perform and produce what our Father is capable of, with the same excellence that is only associated with Him.

This is the reason why we must pay close attention to God’s Word. The truth is, if we want to be like our Father, and even surpass Him like Jesus said we will (John 14:12), we can’t do without His Words. Never take your eyes from His Word. Keep it close to your heart, and the Glory of God will come into being in your heart.

Keep winning daily.

Prayer:
Dear Father, thank You for making me a possessor and carrier of Your Glory. I make a commitment to pay keen attention to Your Word, and to be full of Your Word which causes me to be full of and rich in Your Glory, in Jesus name. Amen.
