PDP changes slogan to “Change the Change” to chase APC out of power
A former Senate president and a Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), David Mark, on Saturday launched a new slogan for the party to chase APC out of power.
The former senate president used the new slogan while addressing party delegates at its convention on Saturday.
It would be recalled that Nigeria’s ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) rode on the back of using the slogan ‘Change’ while campaigning for presidential election in 2015.
PDP’s “Power To The People” slogan gradually shortened to “Power” over the years and this has stuck with the electorates.
Meanwhile, the party leadership has constituted a Caretaker Committee headed by a former Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Ahmed Makarfi, which was mandated to elect a new National Working Committee, NWC, for the party within three months.
Other members of the committee are;
Senator Ben Obi – Secretary
Senator Ugbesia – Member
Sen Abdul Ningi – Member
Prince Dayo Adeyeye – Member
Aisha Aliyu – Member
Barrister Usman – Member
