Topic: It Begins With You 2 [29/3/2016]
Text: John 14:21-23
In 2 Peters 1:3 scripture talks about a kind of knowledge that we all should have. “According as His divine power has giving us all things that pertains to live and godliness through the knowledge of him…” When talking about knowledge here, Peter uses the Greek word, epignosis which means precise and correct knowledge. A knowledge gotten by experience. A kind of knowledge not taught yo us only, but experienced by us. That is the kind of knowledge Jesus gave His disciples.
John in explaining this knowledge by experience said in 1John 1:1-2 “that which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us.)” Here again he talks about manifestation. He said this life was manifested unto us and now we bear witness.
They could only have this kind of precise knowledge by staying with Jesus. Just as the rulers, the elders and the scribes testified about Peter and John in Acts 4:13 that they have been with Jesus, so also God wants men you will encounter to testify about you, but first, He wants to manifest Himself to you, giving you precise, accurate experiential knowledge of Him Who has called you to power and virtue.

Dear Father, thank You for choosing to manifest Yourself to me. My heart is set on knowing you precisely and accurately, as I experience Your manifestation in my life, and bear witness to it unto the ends of the world, in Jesus name. Amen.
